about
Once upon a time, Rachel, Maddy, their roommate Whitney, and Colette spontaneously drove four hours to Galveston one night because they wanted to jump in the ocean.
Sitting in the parking lot of a Buc-ee's gas station, they sat on the trunk of Rachel's car and hung around, hoping random strangers would give them gas money. Seeing a Carefree Inn sign, they wrote this song. And then the cops came and told them to move.
The end.
lyrics
Who is this Man from Galilee? We have to see, we have to see
We want to hear His words and touch His scars
'Cause He saved our lives and set us free
Now we can sing, now we can sing
We settle in and rest with open hearts
'Cause we've got nothin' we've got no cares in the world
We're resting in the arms of our Father
In the arms of our Father
Well we have heard, yeah we've been told
Of greater things, of streets of gold
No more tears and the dead brought back to life
And we can never be the same
Our name's been changed, our past erased
And all that's left is the freedom in His eyes
We've got nothin' we've got no cares in the world
We're resting in the arms of our Father
In the arms of our Father
That's why we live that's why we go
Why we don't think of growin' old
There's greater joy in knowing Jesus Christ
